This is a fantastic opportunity for you, an experienced Pre-Sales Consultant to join a leading IT Services Company, to provide pre-sales support and service definition, enabling the sales team to effectively win IT and Communication Solutions for a wide range of potential customers.

Whilst you are not required to have expert level technical knowledge, you should have a strong foundation across all technologies (cloud, campus networking – LAN/WAN/WLAN, server infrastructure, virtualisation) and also professional and managed services (Service Management, Service Delivery).

Main duties of the role:

  • Supporting sales activities in a technical pre-sales capacity on behalf of the Services unit, for Sales enablement and in customer engagements, meetings and opportunity qualification.
  • Identifying opportunities for and developing relationships with third party suppliers to establish service offerings and draw on specialist pre and post sales capabilities to support the sales activities.
  • Cost modelling for professional and managed services.

Key activities:

As the Pre-sales Consultant, some of your key activities will include:

  • Provide pre-sales support to define integrated technical solutions in line with customer requirements.
  • Produce, or assist in the production, of high-level designs and the technical input to proposals.
  • Where required, take on a solution lead role for specific opportunities
  • Plan and implement the complex aspects of building, deploying and testing components, platforms and solutions.

Essential Experience for the Pre-sales Consultant

You have deep experience in the following:

  • Pre-sales solution design
  • Cost modelling
  • Working within a Managed Service Provider
  • Channel distribution
  • Managed and Professional Service costing

Technical grounding in:

  • Operating Systems and Applications, particularly modern Microsoft servers and workspace technologies
  • Network Technologies: LAN/WLAN/WAN.
  • Office365
  • Cloud Technologies

Any skills in Azure, DR, Aruba, Server and SAN or virtualisation would be a bonus but not essential
