IT Support Engineer – Manchester Airport
£19,000 + Overtime + On Call Payments
This is a fantastic and immediate opening for an IT Support Engineer to join a busy IT Team at Manchester Airport. In this role you will be supporting mission critical systems together with a wide variety of equipment including Common Use Systems, Airline and Ground Handler desktop and check-in systems, and Airline Self Service kiosks.
You must therefore have a technical mind and technical knowledge and have had first class experience of dealing with a variety of customers in a fast paced and pressurised environment.
In order to be successful in your application for the IT Support Engineer, you should:-
- Must have a good proven technical knowledge of PC/Printer Hardware and Software.
- Previous Customer Service experience, ideally in an I.T or hardware support role.
- Full UK manual driving licence for driving airside and access to your own transport/24hr public transport to Manchester Airport.
Ideally, you will have an A+ or equivalent certification. Additional college and/or technical training is also advantageous.
Please ensure you are happy with the working shift hours below before applying;
- 6 on, 4 off rotating shift pattern covering the hours between 03:00 and 23:00 (start times will vary) and will also include some weekends, bank holidays and possible night shifts for Project Work. There will also be an element of overnight on call working on a rota basis (for which on call payments are made).
