IT Support Engineer (1st/2nd Line)
Wokingham
£20,000 to £25,000 depending on experience
This is an exciting new opportunity for you, a 1st/2nd line support engineer to join a small Wokingham based IT Support Company (MSP). You will also have the opportunity to work on projects alongside our project engineers.
We are looking to recruit an ambitious, hardworking individual with excellent communication skills and a passion for learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Log and manage incidents reported to the service desk via email and phone
- Provide remote 2nd line support on allocated service desk incidents
- Escalate incidents where required
- Remote management of customer requests (installations, user account changes, etc)
- Perform and record predefined daily/weekly health and backup checks
- Help create and maintain documentation used within the technical services team
- Assist the project engineers where required
Skills and Experience
- Experience of supporting Windows Desktop
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Basic understanding of network concepts such as TCP/IP networking
- Basic understanding of firewalls, routers and network switches
- Any knowledge of the following would be beneficial but not required:
- Experience of supporting Apple Mac devices
- Corporate anti-virus programs
- Office 365 and Azure
- Microsoft Exchange
Qualifications
- The following would be beneficial but are not required:
- ITIL knowledge or certification
- CompTIA IT Fundamentals+ (ITF+)
- Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA)

- Must be eligible to live and work in the UK and own a valid UK driving license
