Site Support Engineers - IT Recruitment
As the name suggests, a site support engineer is someone who is commonly employed to maintain an aspect of hardware or software on a company site.
The role can sometimes require some travel, if, for example, there are a number of sites close together, but this is not the same as a Field Engineer role. You are generally assigned just one site to maintain.
You might be employed as the first point of contact whenever anyone has any sort of problem with their computer, a printer, a fax machine, a server, or specific software. Generally if this is something that cannot be fixed easily, it is then your responsibility to get this repaired by a 3rd party, who you will normally have a contract with.
What can I earn as a Field Engineer?
£15,000 to £45,000 p.a (this can vary depending upon a wide range of factors)
