This is a fantastic opportunity for you, an experienced PHP Developer to join a leading company based in Oxfordshire. As PHP Developer you will be responsible for the design and development of PHP based web applications, their database schema, HTML/CSS templates and test suites. Working as part of the new PHP development team you will be required to work on both team and individual projects for a variety of new and existing in-house and customer-facing applications.
Key Skills:-
· Minimum 2 years working PHP experience
· Good working knowledge of PHP 5
· Understanding of the principles and application of Object Orientation.
· Cross-browser compatible, Accessible and Degradable HTML + CSS
· Experience working with JS
· Experience with Smarty or another templating system
· Experience working within a team and good interpersonal skills
· Experience using a version control system.
· Experience working with TDD
· Specific experience with MSSQL, writing stored procedures, cursors and DTS packages.
· A passing awareness of the M-V-C architectural pattern
· Good written and verbal communication skills
· Ability to learn quickly
Desirable Skills:-
· 5 years working PHP experience
· Regular expression wizardry
· General knowledge and interest of internet-related cool stuff
· Experience with jquery or prototype.
· Accepting of criticism
· Knowledge of SOA
· Experience writing and using Web APIs
· Demonstrable portfolio of past web applications produced.
· Dealing with difficult customers.
