Junior Pricing Programmer
£17,000 + depending on experience

This is a fantastic opportunity for you, a graduate, or someone with experience in a similar role, to join the pricing team of a large financial organisation based in Cardiff. Your role will be based in the Technical side of the Pricing Team, and you will be working in a team responsible for implementing and testing changes to the pricing structure that the Analyst’s have produced. The job will involve liaising with Business Analysts and the IT Department on a regular basis, so you will need to be aware of IT principles and processes. Full training will be given, but the successful candidate must have the skills below:
Skills Required:
· Post secondary education required, preferably in Computer Science, Statistics, or Maths
· Strong computer skills, spreadsheet software (Excel)
· Ability to multi-task in a demanding, time sensitive environment
· Must be detail orientated, thorough, organised and possess excellent time management skills and excellent communication skills
Responsibilities:
· Program pricing and underwriting changes into Ratabase
· Help design and co-ordinate testing and rate verification
· Assist with user support for Ratabase
· Develop and maintain Ratabase documentation
· Help implement Ratabase enhancements
· Assist with the implementation of all UW related system initiatives
· Help analyse the impact of these initiatives through testing and queries
· Provide support to the Pricing team as needed
